Earlier today, I scurried to DL the first episode of the Blade of the Immortal anime, then went to lunch with Mom and ran errands.

I got home and it was finished, BUT I HAD DLED THE WRONG FILE TYPE!!!  (As in "that type of file what I do not have any programs it will play in that will also let me take caps.)  So I started the RIGHT file type DLing, and watched Madlax.  And it was not done and I wanted real food but I did not want to cook, so I went out and spent the rest of my store credit at the bookstore that I did not use yesterday and got food.  AND IT IS NOT QUITE DONE YET!!!

I AM VERY HAPPY I HAVE MADLAX!!!!

Anyway, them books what I got whose titles and authors I don't feel like saying because I feel like making pitiful attempts at being creative:

1.  Sequel to Gossip Girl does 1899.
2.  Post apocalyptic Earth ruled by intergalactic vampires.  With stargates.
3.  That recent historical romance novel causing the romance novel community to throw hissyfits for daring to actually give the heroine a sex life too.  That is not written by Bertrice Small or Susan Johnson.  Good author, not...uhm,. smutfest.
4.  YA where adventurous princess goes missing and meek princess sets off to find her.
5.  YA romance with Russian artistocrat as housekeeper after the revolution.

I went 12 cents over my credit.  Oh, the strain on my wallet!

Now to eat my food and watch Madlax and order the 2 books I was looking for but they didn't have.  Also, I saw Suite Scarlet, which I remember someone mentioning recently, but I couldn't remember who it was or what they said, and there was no discount off the HC price.

Is book #3 the one that's written by the author that's also sneakily subversive? Or is there another book that's giving the romance community hissyfits?

And I am so sorry the download is taking so long!

As far as I know, there is but the one, and you have already read it.

Funny how they're all for the rakes and other mansluts, but give a woman a sex life, and it's WRONGWRONGWRONG.

(Actually, I have noticed that Regencies and Victorians have started to manage to sneak in a few widows who have had a brief affair or two in between hubby and True Love, but that's it.)

I thought so but I wanted to be sure.

And well, at least the widows aren't virgins anymore. o_o
