Yeah, so, I completely forgot they were making a Wolverine movie. While I'm fairly neutral about the comic book version(I find him interesting in the contexts of his relationships with Jubilee, Kitty, Storm, and a few others, but kind of uninteresting and overrated as a general rule) I do like the movie version. Probably because, while still a little much so, he isn't borderline godlike in his abilities, and I can actually understand why women would be throwing themselves at him, despite the fact that he could still do with a bath and a shave.

Anyway, the leaked trailer, which looks pretty good. But would look a lot better if a certain somebody were in the movie.

I must be a worse comic fan because not only did I forget about it but I can't even bring myself to watch the previews for it. I'm completely indifferent to this movie. Except for the WTFery caused by Emma Frost's presence in the previews.

Yeah. It's like they randomly went "ok, what current X-Men and insanely popular mutants weren't in the other movies? Let's use them!"

Bet he carts them all off to xavier's for X4.

I must be a worse fan, the only guest character I recognized was Gambit, and only 'cause the crowd went nuts (which was massively annoying).

Looks like a decent trailer though. Just, ugh, I hate cam footage.

Sabreteooth was pretty prominent. The asian woman was probably either Mariko or his recently created wife. The blonde who appears for about 2 seconds and then turns into what looks like white rock is Emma Frost, I think. But yeah, it had a very "cram in the mutants" feel.

I never would have picked out Emma from the trailer on my own, and I'd actually thought Wolvie's love interest in this case would be Fox (or whatever her name was) as she was also part of Weapon X, and it might be too late to introduce Wolvie's samurai heritage into the mix for moviegoers (since it was never mentioned in the core trilogy)

Hmm. Good point. Silver Fox does make sense, and you can't exactly get a good look at her in the previews. I think I forgot since she hasn't been mentioned in years.

I feel like a bad comic fan, too. I'd completely forgotten about this movie coming out. Now I'm curious about who the other members of the "team" are.

I think it got lost among the 500000 other big comic book movies.

I guess that makes me a good comic fan then. ;P Because I think it looks pretty darn cool.

After the first X-Men movie, I thought Hugh Jackman would be great in a Wolverine movie. It's about time they got it done.

Yup, I agree it looks cool. I've like Jackman as Wolverine from the start myself. Frankly, if the comic book version were more like him, I'd probably like him more.

Agreed. As far as the comic book version, I'm like you in that I like him best interacting with Jubilee and Kitty. Some of my favorite issues of Wolverine are when Jubilee was his "sidekick."

I'm only in it for the Gambit really.

Ok, so I do sort of love Deadpool and Wolverine, but still...mainly Gambit.

I've never been a major Gambit fan(no problems with the character, just never did anything for me), but at least, unlike a lot of comic book and manga characters, I can understand why he gets fangirled so much.

I've always thought him overrated, too. Plus the weird love triangle is too much for me sometimes. It all seems so junior high. lol

I've never been into the whole triangle at all. But then, I dislike triangles.

Really, though, it never seemed to be a big tiangle in the comics(more with the fans than in the text) until the movies came out and made it a full fledged triangle. The comics seemed to always play it more like he was attracted to her and, while he clashed with Scott, he valued and respected both too much as friends to try anything, and Jean may have found him appealing, but loved Scott to much to even think about being distracted by it.

I am an OK comics book fan--I'll be pretty psyched to see this when it comes out, but I'm not going to be yelling and screaming about it. :)

Yup, that's pretty m,uch me. I'll probably make more of an effort to see it than the last few...but not until it's been out for a few weeks.

Aaah, Wolverine...
I feel like I could just watch Hugh Jackman unicycle back and forth and be content.

Also, GAMBIT!!!
Although, am I the only one who is a little disappointed that Taylor Kitsch was cast for the part? *ducks to avoid rotten tomato*

Sick. I loved the first two X-Men movies, though the last one blew. Who's directing this one? Hopefully someone good... Though, I will unabashedly admit that I'm a bit of a Hugh-Jackman-as-Wolverine fangirl. ;)

The last one had the problem of not making any sense. I mean, did anyone even realize Scott died until Xavier was killed the same way?

It did have an awesome Beast, though.

I have no idea who's in charge of it, actually.

I realized he was dead, but once I did I was pissed off that the LEADER of the X-Men was killed OFF-SCREEN! :P

Yeah, X3 was directed by someone else, so I'm thinking bad permutations of the franchise stem from a poor director. :(
