Ok, so I have ep 14 of Princess Tutu on for background noise and Fakir just made Ahiru turn into a duck and hide behind the fountain so he could ask Mytho about his feelings for Princess Tutu with her listening.

HOW DID I MISS HIS MATCHMAKING WAYS BEFORE?
Has anyone seen a good cap/icon of the bit where he was rude to Ahiru after she asked how he was and she did the finger clenching thing?

And did I ever voice my theory that Uzuru is the most powerful force in that universe?

At this point, I think it's my favorite anime. I haven't been in as much of a watching mood lately(for me, at least) and have been having favorites on in the background while I read and such a lot.

(And to refer to the discussion in the other post...this is how you write a story where the girl is motivated by and centered around a guy, and still make it completely her story.)

I also really adore the CLAMP Campus Detectives anime, hence the icons. It's finally coming out on DVD next month. Suoh, <3. He's kind of Fakir-y.

If they had not been immediately distracted by Mytho going crazyevil, I bet anything Fakir would've embarked on a determined doomed knightly campaign to hook Mytho/Ahiru up in their Destined Storybook Romance ("he's my beloved who is a boy and she's my beloved who is a girl so I will just step out of the way and clearly it will be PERFECT"), despite the fact that none of them would actually want this to happen, and Ahiru would flail and flutter and Mytho would go "......" and Fakir would be nobly self-sacrificing and clueless, and they would have all been completely miserable, at least to the depth of their heart-shard ability.

And when Autor tired of waiting in the library for his walk-on part that never comes, he would emerge and beat Fakir to death with a volume of litcrit.

I've seen icons of the finger-poky-thing-ofsocute buuut I cannot remember where.

I have not heard this theory! Please elaborate!! Does it incorporate quail?! I LOVE swapping crazy Ptutu theories because they are all simultaneously true.

YES! YES THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS STARTING TO HAPPEN WHEN MYTHO WENT ALL EVIL AND WAS TRYING TO STEAL THE HEARTS OF YOUNG GIRLS! But then halfway through, Rue would have come in and thrown stacks of shoujo manga at their heads and drug Mytho off by the hair.

Edel was created to be a lifeless cipher who died in a single act of defiance against Drosselmeier(or is that with a "y"?). Uzura was created from that moment of defiance. Since she isn't a part of the story and was actually created by a minor character rejecting the story, she's the only one in that world who Drosselmeier can't touch at all. Even when Fakir and Ahiru are rejecting his will, they're still influenced by it, but Uzura operates completely independent of it, and he can't influence or control her at all. UZURA IS EVERY AUTHOR'S WORST NIGHTMARE!!!

ETA: And everything Ahiru does is ohsocute. She is like CCS!Sakura in that it should not be legal (or at least should be annoying) to be so cute and pure, but it makes you lovelovelove her.

And Ahiru would still hang out with Fakir, among other reasons to have someone to facepalm with when Mytho was being stupidly heroic and everything and to have someone else to talk/drag him out of it when he was off on a quest or something and man . . . I love this show.

And she would still go to him anytime something was wrong and he would fix it without even thinking about it even as he was grouching about it and they would be clueless for eternity and Pike and Lillie would notice and becomes shippers AND OTPPPPPP!!!

Not just when there was something wrong, she'd probably want to hang out and stuff, because they're still friends and she hangs out with her friends even when they're all "I HATE YOU GRR ARGH GO AWAY.", so there's nothing Fakir could do to stop her.

And Pike and Lillie would think it was oh-so-romantic and set them up and lock them in closets and stuff. And Ahiru would freak out to the point that she'd turn into a duck, so there'd be more room and less chances of romance . . . . IN THEORY. Because Fakir would cuddle her when she was flapping to calm her down and she'd relax and sigh and . . . oh man.

Now that you've brought Kyo and Yuya into things I'm having such reprehensible mental imagery about Fakir and Ahiru (you know, borrowing from one of those scenes that you always say prove that Kyo is mentally five years old and this is the only way to show he likes her). It's a slightly scary mental place to be at... ;-).

Tee hee! Aww, Yuya and Ahiru would be too much honest-to-God sweetness and cuteness for the world to handle, wouldn't they? Did I see somebody mentioning Sakura from CCS et al before? She should be in that group too! We'd all die from the adorableness :-). But she has no Kyo/Fakir counterpart; Kurogane's the closest to it (or maybe Toya? big-brother-complex and all) but he's not her OTP!
And I love the Kyo/Fakir dialogue, BTW :-). Though if their positions or storyverses were somehow swapped, I can't see Kyo blushing like mad when all the clothes magically and comically disappear, mind you. (Actually, Kurogane should get together with these guys, just 'cause. I'd pay good money to see that.)
Aw, rats. My mind has just put ballet dancing into SDK with horrifying results. Stop doing this to me, brain! You cannot imagine how much Shinrei has taken to this with great enthusiasm, however. And Hotaru is surprisingly adept too...

Yeah, CCS!Sakura is like Ahiru with how amazingly pure and sweet and cute and loveable she is.

She would bring CCS!Syaoran with her, who would fume and seethe and blush and drag her away from the big foul mouthed pervert and hang with the girls. Where he would still be blushing and fuming a bit, but it would be better for his nerves.

Ballet is a serious art! Of course Shinrei would take to it! Hotaru would think it was fun, and infuriate Shinrei by being better at it.

Oh lord, Kyo would have way too much fun at CCS!Syaoran's expense :-). The poor lad isn't as tough as Sasuke, after all. But Yuya would pet him and make a great fuss over him (yup, cue more blushing). Hm, now that we're freely mixing mangas: why do I get this strange feeling that Kyo would be rather taken with CCS Tomoyo, though?
And they'd all watch the Shinrei Vs Hotaru via ballet devolve quickly into a sibling death-match! You're right, Shinrei would take it sooo seriously, and then Hotaru would flounce in and show him up, not a scrap of discipline in evidence (and then get distracted by a caterpillar).

I think Hotaru would be distracted by Okuni, who would have both casts staring at her and going "...woooooooooooooow".
