Trmaine is the main reason to read the trilogy. (I mean the rest is just fine, too, but...) Oh, and it was redbrunja who originally came up w/ the text + Keira Knightley pic combo and had someone else make it. I just stole it. With permission.

Oh, Tsume...At least invest in a letather shirt that covers your stomach...

No she totally is. I mean, okay, I liked the world building, her dad and the evil wizard guy as well. But the plot was kinda boring apart from being an excuse for Tremaine to kick ass and be awesome.

4. A proper explanation is spoilery, so I'll just say it's the leaders from the Pieta arc of Claymore.

5. OK! A While back, lesbiassparrow decided to create a community called fandom_duels, largely as a joke about how fandom gets so up in arms and has shipwars and whatnot, and I created several icons for her to choose as a default icon for the comm, and we both ended up using it as a personal icon, too.

5. Darcia from Wolf's Rain, a very good post-apocalyptic fairy tale-like anime, and one of my favorites. I tend to think the look is also goos for a general sci-fi feel.

Wolf's Rain is another one I would include on my shortlist of Anime To Armtwist Cho Into Watching, although I'd probably go for Champloo first as it has more of that Bebop-ish feel and a stronger ending. (I liked the WR ending, mind you, but I know an awful lot of people who got up to that point and were then sputteringly angry about not knowing what the hell just happened.) But there are a lot of things about it I suspect you might like -- there's some lovely male camaraderie between the wolfpack, there are numerous minor female characters both villainous and sympathetic of a range of ages and character types beyond the usual plucky-love-interest sort of cardboard-cutout cliches, and overall it's got a lot of the lovely slowly-building tragic sweep and gravitas of Bebop. It's very good.

I first saw the ending in one of my more hectic periods of college, and didn't have the braincells to spare to understand it. Now I rather like it, though I wish they hadn't gone so far in changing Darcia's character to reach it.

I must be the only person out there who likes both Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo well enough, but doesn't get the big deal about either.
