Bleach Ch 323-327: Hmm…anyone else get a kick out of the guy with wings who bombards people with feathers from a safe distance whining about not fighting fair? I’m trying to remember, have we ever actually seen Kira fight before? Having Ikkaku as the first to fall, and having the fight offscreen, is an interesting choice, but I suppose it’s the most logical if you want a surprise. I’m happy to see that these fights are going by pretty quickly, though I think even Tite Kubo has to admit that, at this point, they’re either coming and going quickly, or he’ll have to think of something to do with the giant caters left by the fights. But…uhm…anyone else starting to think he may be letting his imagination get a wee bit out of control with these recent character designs?




D.Gray-Man Ch 170-174: The order to kill Allen if he turns Noah has Kanda upset? That’s…oddly sweet. Those two really need Lavi or Lenalle there to run interference between them, though. Miranda tries, but she’s just a wee bit too highstrung herself. And I’m really happy we have Miranda out and about getting in field experience and doing things, but did we really have to send Lenalee off to parts unknown to get that? Can’t we have both? And no, I don’t count little 2 page appearances…we had about 8 volumes of that with Kanda. For that matter, why is Kanda even allowed out in public without Lenalee’s supervision? It seems to be the only think that can make him have anything resembling manners. It’s nice to learn a bit more about Allen’s babysitter, but I hope this Mysterious Thief G arc doesn’t last forever.

Kira's fought once before, back in Soul Society arc, against Rangiku. Well, that and his earlier skirmish with Hinamori, but that was really too short to count.

Personally I'm curious about what Lavi and Bookman are up to while Kanda and Allen are running around fighting random ridiculous costumes. Although I am glad that Marie is on their mission, it's nice to have more minor characters running around.

Well, Lavi and Bookman aren't supposed to be running around with the exorcists in the first place. They joined up for that arc, and then it was everyone back at the base recuperating. It's just that those 2 things have taken up the bulk of the series.

That doesn't stop me from wondering what they're doing -- in fact, it makes me more curious.
