meganbmooreThis continues to be fun, but not as awesome (on every level) or cracktastic as Pearl Pink. The latter is actually somewhat surprising, as one of the main characters is a shinigami who wears a pink bunny suit that he decorates for various theme months and who carts souls to the afterlife on his motorcycle.
No! Bad Meca Tanaka! Bad! You do not have the 19-year-old lead tease the permanently-12 spirit girl to take off her cat when it’s the only thing she’s wearing, then have her permanently-20~ partner create wind specifically brought up to make the coat go flying to distract someone! Bad mangaka! (Actually, I’m not sure exactly how old Yuzuko is supposed to be, but still…)
Madoka also should not be telling Yuzuko to crawl into bed with him and warm him up because he has a cold either. (Meca Tanaka! Not the thing to tack on to the end of a student/teacher chapter!)
On a more serious front, I liked Nabeshima not wanting the promotion because it meant he would have to off the rebel souls (the traumatizing suits they had to wear in that section only make t an even better decision for him) and the fact that he probably wouldn’t need Madoka’s help if he were willing to use the same tactics as other shinigami.
