rightstuf's new sale is 33% off Tokyopop comics, lasting through 10/12.  Holes in certain Clamp series!  You will now be filled!  *makes note to read the first volume of Tokko and the first couple volumes of Tarot Cafe in the next couple of days*

Anyone want to remind me what the other manhwa by the manhwaga of Hotel Africa are?  Also, I know Tokyopop isn't putting out any more books of Nabi, but will reading what they have put out leave me annoyed by no more?

I'm slightly concerned, though:  Their past 2 sales for Tokyopop have been preceded by a Del Rey sale.  I hope they haven't taken Del Rey off their sales cycle.

Also, I will now tretrat the comments I made before about bookcloseouts.com.  The order did show up in their system again 2 days later, and came today.  (Interestingly enough, it was Tokyopop manga...anyway.)  So, one nightmarish experience where I eventually got my books and money for the book I didn't get, and one with a very annoying hiccup, but OK in the end.

ROFL. Yeah. Though I'm trying to think of how many ongoing series I have with them.

I just made a list of all my potential orders/pre-orders. I may go with the latter, but the former I will treat more sparingly.

Right Stuf sales are very frustrating. The prices are good, but I have to order $150 to get free shipping to Canada. :/

Oh ugh. Well, with preordering, you can sometimes do that (I think the last Viz sale for me was almost $300, but it was spread over about 6 months) if you have enough titles prelisted.

Is that Arashi in your icon?

I usually wind up sticking to their anime sales; if there're enough boxsets I want, it's not as hard for it to add up.

And it is indeed. ^^ (She and Sorata are the only other pairing I'm invested in at the moment.)

I haven't read the X/1999 manga yet, but I have seen the anime. Despite my fondness for the Syaorans and Sakuras and Kendappa/Souma, they're pretty much my Clamp OTP at this point.

They're pretty much my entire reason for liking X--I mean, I do like some of the other characters, but they're the only ones I really care about. The manga is kind of a mixed bag; CLAMP seems to have not really known what they were doing at the beginning, so it's less coherent than the beginning of the TV series, and the lack of an ending is very frustrating. But once it gets settled the pacing is better, and I can't think of ANY plot points where I prefer the anime.

Plus Sorata gets to change his clothes in the manga.

Damn, I just ordered Peacemaker and Wild Adapter from Amazon! Oh well. Hmmm, I don't have a bunch of the Gintama manga....*is tempted*

Gintama is from Viz, actually. But they usually have Viz sales soon after Tokyopop.

WHAT A GOOD DAY.

My preliminary list puts me at 25 volumes of stuff, so I'm going to have to make some tough decisions, I think!

I only own two volumes of Tramps Like Us, so that's probably hurting me the worst right now, :(

At least I'll get the final volume of Tokyo Babylon, for sure! And Legend of Chun Hyang! And I'll complete my set of Legal Drug!

LOL. My main thing is what I need of RG Veda and Cardcaptor Sakura. Then a few odds and ends that have come out lately. After that, I'll likely preorder a bit.

Yeah, I think my "must-haves" are all going to be CLAMP. 2 volumes of CCs, 1 of Legal Drug, Chun Hyang, and the last Tokyo Babylon. I have two volumes of RG Veda, but I don't know if I liked it enough to own it, :[

I am majorly tempted by the ultimate Fruits Basket editions, and the last two of Priest, but the siren call of Tramps Like Us is strongest. I'll have to get at least one!

For some reason, it's really hard for me to spend more than $20-30 on....anything. This is usually a good thing because I end up saving money, but it makes situations like this AGONIZING.

You make me so happy, showing me that I'm not the only one to start obsessively getting Clamp this year.
