So, Sienna Miller has apparently been cast as Maid Marion in Ridley Scott's movie about the Sheriff of Nottingham, which boasts Russell Crowe as the star.

I've only ever seen her in Casanova and Stardust* and liked her in both, though I've head negative things about her from elsewhere.  Not sure how much has to do with her acting, and how much has to do with her personal life, though.

As I have 2 icons of Lucilla and one each of Lily and Sibylla, I obviously have a nice track record with Ridley Scott's female leads.  (The male ones, too.)

Don't think Robin has been cast yet, though.

*Random bit of weirdness:  I rewatched both last week and didn't notice until then that she and Charlie Cox play siblings in Casanova, and she plays the girl he originally has a crush on in Stardust.  Watching them almost back to back was interesting in terms of playing with your own head.  To add to the fun, I watched St. Ives in between, and then started Pushing Daisies, both of which star Anna Friel.

The rumor is that Crowe will play both the Sheriff and Robin. Don't know how that would work, but that's what they're saying at the moment.

A Scarlet Pimpernel/Zorro type thing? Wears a mask as Robin, perhaps?

That's a thought to give a person nightmares!

Aren't there any American national heroes they can destroy? Why do they keep attacking mine?

I've only seen Sienna Miller in a few things, but I like her well enough (in Stardust, at least). I definitely think most of the negative things have to do with her personal life.

Yeah, I think so to. Which is part of why I try to avoid that part of Hollywood.

She seems to be somebody who dresses so strangly that she's become a style icon. But I loved her in Keen Eddie, so I'm willing to see how it goes. Besides, I think Crowe could have legit charisma with a block of garden apartments.

This is completely true. The problem with me and Russel Crowe is that I tend to mostly watch period movies, and he tends to have "Maximus moments" in those that throw me out. Like, he seems to deliver important and inspiring speeches exactly like he did in Gladiator, and I go "THERE IS ONLY ONE MAXIMUS!"

I wish they'd leave Robin Hood alone! I still haven't recovered from the mess they made of it in Prince of Thieves. Russell Crowe as the Sheriff? They must be out of their tiny minds!

I don't know much about Sienna Miller, but I know Russell Crowe can't act his way out of a paper bag and can't do an English accent. I know some Americans can't tell the difference between British and Australian accents, but Brits can.

I got all excited about this film when I heard Christian Bale was cast as Robin, but then recently I heard a rumour that Russell Crowe has been cast as the Sherriff AND Robin? Yeahhhh... I don't know, he's definitely involved though.
Once you get used to the crack!tastic version of Robin Hood provided by the BBC, it will be hard to go back to something more serious. xD
