It has been a few years since I read Gorgeous Carat, but from what I recall, there is less sex than in Cantarella, but what there is is depicted more explicitly (including an IMO gratuitous rape scene). But not to the point of showing organs or anything like that.
Maybe i'll see if there are a couple volumes I can flip through in the store. If Zadei/Tetius in Seimaden doesn't set off my normal manga slash wrath (very seme/uke), then You Higuri in general should be safe. (Then again, they're also the secondary pairing, and clearly going to End Badly.)
It's one you should definitely try before you buy. There's only one female character in the main cast[*], and she's definitely relegated to sidekick status, with an unrequited crush thrown in as a bonus.
[*] Not the girl in the picture--I don't have any idea who she is, off the top of my head.
Imo GC is mostly just silly, fluffy fun (excepting that wtf of a rape scene), but some aspects might hit your squicks - like the fact that whassname, the blond boy, is literally bought by Noir, and if irc at one point he whips him as punishment for... something. I forget. But there is no rape = love trope and Noir is at least not a rapist. XD;;
Now, see, if any of you had actually read Seimaden (or at least the first 3 volumes...) you'd be perfectly qualified to know if it would work for me...
(I think the main thing, aside from the sex, is how seme/uke is it?)
afaik (I've not read GC Galaxy) Noir and Florian haven't had sex yet, so it doesn't come down to actual sexual roles so far as their relationship goes, but Florian... is pretty much the quintessential uke. XD; Noir isn't really a mega-seme though, he just imagines he is.
And...err...her manga tends to satisfy all my most base manga dramatic needs with things that usually make me want to hurl things. I have a similar experience w/ Kaori Yuki...
Cantarella (last pic) was the beginning of my descent into Gothic Shoujo Crack. I love it with handflaily squeeing love the bounces off the walls and far exceeds what the actual quality deserves. Seimaden (which this icon is from) I do not love quite as much, but it is glorious 90s gothic shoujo cheese and crack and enormous (yet concerningly kinky at times) fun.
...would you happen to have larger versions of all of these images? *puppy eyes* and darnit. these are mostly from her het series, on which I am horribly not so well-versed in through no fault of my own, since people are more interested in translating her yaoi/shounen-ai series online
*stares ats last picture again* I kind of want to say it isn't her because the hair looks kind of weird, but I know of no other character that Higuri would portray in such white fine regalia other than Lucrezia. Her eyes kind of look a little hard to be her, though, don't they?

I tracked down a Cantarella gallery (I just DLed the artbooks earlier) and it was there. Maybe it was an early design? Of future!Lucrezia? Regardless, I think it's my favorite Cantarella image now.

Well, Go! Comi seems committed to licensing as many of her non-yaoi works as possible (other companies are getting the yaoi) so maybe I'l get them all eventually!
