Self, you got deli meats today and they are, indeed, very yummy meats. In fact, you braved construction all over the place to get to them (well, that and H.E.B. is the only place in town that carries potstickers). But they are for meals, not for snacking! Especially when you are cooking dinner.
Bad Self!

Date: 2008-10-16 12:29 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm having that same problem. I just devoured a slice of the bread smilla made on Saturday with some deli turkey left over from making the Young Lady's lunch today ... .

BTW, I've been meaning to ask, were you still interested in Cantarella? I noticed that someone had taken most of the volumes in to Hastings last week (though they're moving locations this week) and remembered you asking about it a while back. They'd probably be about $6 a volume, though I still owe you for the SDK artbook.

Date: 2008-10-16 02:21 am (UTC)Oy, no need to be so tactful on this particular issue ... >headdesk<
I just ran upstairs and fished the Kyo artbook from its safe but easily overlooked perch on top of my dresser hutch and put it here on my desk ... it's to be hoped that the result will be that it actually gets into the mail sometime in the next few days.
I imagine I might like Cantarella. You might enjoy Fumi Yoshinaga's Flower of Life, which is the only Yoshinaga thing I've seen that is not saturated (delightfully) with teh gay. Instead, it's rather like a kinder, gentler Ouran: high school students (and to some extent, their teachers) in mostly everyday situations, many of them quite funny. Some classic tropes are reversed in a very clever fashion, and manga fandom gets a number of good-natured whacks. (smilla loaned it to me, and I tore through the 3 volumes in no time.)
