I think that, when a person participates in early voting, a media filter should automatically be created so that a person no longer has to listen to either side's propaganda. 

La La La La La!  Your ads and commercials and last minute phone calls would be meaningless to me even if they could influence my vote!

(You, f-list, are excluded from this whine, as you tend to be, you know, more thoughtful and intelligent than those getting paid to talk politics to me.)

You get a lot of political spam in Texas? I'm genuinely surprised--I didn't think they wasted time and money in places that are heavily-tilted to one side or another. Like, I barely see any stuff here in Chicago (excepting low-grade adverts like lawn signs).

Dude. Several places like VA and FL may actually go blue because they wasted their time and money on these heavily-tilted to one side places.

I second the above comment. Is it for House or Senate seats? State legislatures? I just don't see the point of spending money in TX, the DNCC's 50 State Strategy or not.

So far I've only gotten one pamphlet from the democratic party about issues that I actually care about--the other things are all about city propositions *shrugs*

I do not watch news on TV or listen to it on the radio and the handy thirty-second-skip button on my remote gets rid of all the TV ads. This is how I always live my life, but I am especially grateful for it during election years.

The only calls we've gotten lately are one get-out-the-vote call each on Saturday, because we live in Vermont and I guess everyone already knows how we're going to vote.

*wave* Hey. I also live in Vermont, and yeah, I haven't seen any propaganda either way for either side for Presidential. There's been a lot for Gubernatorial, though, although isn't it hilarious how Symington and Douglas are swiping at each-other and entirely ignoring Pollina?

CT doesn't have early voting, so tomorrow it's get up, get dressed, walk the dog and then head off to vote. Even though it will be a pain on a personal level, I hope the lines are long, because I want to see a huge turnout.

Hah. Yeah, in some ways, I wonder if them trying to make sure people are informed may backfire. otoh, as it was explained to me every time I objected at the Science Center, people like knowing their voice matters, so giving them this sort of attention is apparently a good thing.

Otooh, I woke up to some idiot on my flist commenting that OBama supporters are drinking poisoned kool-aid.
