Hmm…would puberty help on the Syaoran/Sakura front, or detract from the cuteness? Eeh, probably complicate things.

But Eriol and Tomoyo are such shippers! They might as well be their own little Syaoran/Sakura fan club.

This volume had a lot of action, and not a lot of people running around and being insanely cute. Woes. Despite Tomoyo’s fainting from Sakura’s cuteness and Syaoran helping her win with the power of his love by giving her his magic.

And Clow/Eriol’s whole thing was to make her be a magician stronger than him? Look, we do not do that win 10-year-olds. If you can control your age, at least be a teenager or so. And phooey on hurting Yue’s feelings. He’s sensitive. And likes to develop complexes about his masters.

Fun volume, but an odd note to end it on.

Oh Eriol. Him and his "I am sick of being all-powerful, it makes life boring" thing...kind of amusing, but kind of sad in the way that someone who was humble like Clow would give up power because it makes him feel guilty. *hugs him*

I love Eriol but I always sort of thought that was mean-- "I can't stand being a powerful magician, so I'll let you deal with it!" But somehow I think Sakura will be able to handle it better.

Personally, I think Eriol got a big kick out of pretending to be twelve or however old they are. He has a mischievous streak, ne? With the stuffed sheep? That bit always makes me giggle.

Yes, I am only capable of ranting about Eriol apparently heh.

Eriol's test were all about having her be cute. After a while, you just have to accept that he is never going to make it be dangerous. (Unlike Yue.)
