Clamp really piled on the angsty expressions here, didn't they?  Even Cloney got to join in on the fun a bit, and he has no emotions!  Except for when, you know, his girlfriend is confessing her love while her soul dissolves into sakura petals iun his arms.  That helps.

(Kurogane's "Whee! I get to kill!" look counts as angsty.)

Hmm...I wonder if we'll get some actual interaction between Cloney and FWR.

Now! Clamp!  Where is my fight between Syaorans?  Preferably over which gets to have his Sakura.

Kuro-bun: I'm not sure Kurogane's look is so much "Whee! I get to kill!" as "I've been wanting to kill this guy since I was 14(ish), and revenge is a dish best served by a very big sword!" So, yeah, angsty!

Cloney: What sort of interaction can Cloney and FWR have beyond, "Kill them, my soulless minion!"?

I cling to my theory that the sakura (so hard not to capitalize that every time...) petal he clutched gave him a piece of her soul. Hence one of the most epic moments of shounen screaming romantic angst ever the screaming.

I LIVE FOR THE IMPENDING SHOWDOWN! I think all the dramatic posing was to "build suspense" for it. While Clamp thinks of the best way to milk it for all the angst it's worth.
