Someone explain to me, please, why i just bought a pound of deli turkey and half a pound of deli ham at Wal-Mart when I still have Thanksgiving turkey and ham in the refrigerator.  (Not more than enough for more than a few sandwiches on onion rolls, but still...)

Because deli meat tastes better than the actual meat?

or at least I prefered the deli meat when I ate meat.
