Did Saiyuki Reload: Gunlock just have Gojyo make his staff-thingie disintegrate into light or somesuch?  Not that I really have a clue where he keeps that thing, but "summons it from a pocket dimension or something" probably wasn't my main theory.

Unless, of course, this is some sort of manga canon that I've forgotten about.  In which case, I'm shutting up now.

Aaawww.  DVD is paused on sleeping Lirin curled up in a ball.

ETA:  Confusion has been cleared up!  It was just that the disappearing into crackling light confuzzled me!

It's really more like...well a mist effect, I suppose you could say. In the manga, he's able to summon it, and it just sort of gathers like particles in his hand...

I think it was the disintegrating into crackling light that threw me. I'm used to it just appearing and disappearing.
