This volume was mostly focused on Bi-Wal’s brother, Ryung, and how he got to where he is. It looks like his demon friend is the instigator of the whole “attack and kidnap Dong-Young” thing. Actually, I wonder if he’s behind all of Ryung’s problems in his attempts to get Ryung declared King of Hell since he’s more powerful than Bi-Wal.

And Dong-Young hiding Se-In at her place after she finds him unconscious can only lead to bad things. But I love that her blood is the only antidote to a wound from the Snow Ice Sword. Though I wonder if it’s her blood specifically, or just the blood of General Winter, or whoever has the Snow Ice Sword.

I also like that Doh-Hyun and Mi-Hyang are working together to find Ryung.

Mostly, though, this volume was filling in Bi-Wal and Ryung’s backstory, but mostly just Ryung. Good, but not the parts of the plot that interest me the most
