Oh Clamp, I love you, but you can’t draw action scenes to save your lives.
But Cloney! Finally speaking! (Yes, he said something to Syaoran before, but my inner thirteen-year-old is ignoring everything that doesn’t specifically cater to her, ok?) About how he wanted to hear the rest of what clone!Sakura had been saying when she died! If Cloney is dead, I will finally accept that clone!Sakura is dead. Both alive or both dead. Other options are not acceptable. (But seriously dude! Did you have to almost perfectly reenact her death there?)
And Clow Country used to be Acid Tokyo? Well, that makes sense. At least as far as all the seemingly random things from that arc go. I wonder if this means that the sacred cleansing place she was in in the flashback became sacred because of clone!Sakura’s feather. (I think it said something along those lines, but Clamp gets confusing when they start explaining things.)
And hand grabbing! It only took him clones, multiple worlds, time travel, two lifetimes, a non-clone double, and a nearly imcomprehensible multi-chapter fight to get to that hand!
Somehow, it outdid the “d’aww” of the hug that followed. But couldn’t the boy have been allowed 30 seconds of happiness there? Or at least let her wake up or something. (Maybe she can’t. I forget at this point!)
Sakura and clone!Sakura’s powers are merging? I agree with Fai on how that can’t be good!
I have no idea what all that Yuuko/Sakura stuff meant, save that it probably means they’re busy killing Yuuko over in xxxHolic!
In summary: No more clones! Dramatic death mirroring the death of the one you loved! Hands! Incomprehensible fight! WTF YUUKO!?!?!

Date: 2009-03-08 09:26 pm (UTC)My take on the Yuko stuff: Yuko is already dead, and has been all along. (I think they're implying she became the space-time witch after she died, but I'm not sure on that.) FWR is trying to resurrect her, although it's not clear why: to prove he could do something Clow Reed couldn't, maybe?
I am amazed at how well it works, having Acid Tokyo turn out to be the distant past of Clow Country. That seems like something I should have been going all "WTF" about, but looking back, I can see the groundwork was well-laid for that. Plus, it sews up the dangling plot threads from the Acid Tokyo arc.

Date: 2009-03-08 09:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, I've thought Yuuko was already dead for while now, too, BUT STILL!
AT=CC really does work surprisingly well.

Something makes me think that both Clow and Fei Wong wanted to revive Yuuko, who had already died. Either that or she's been on the border of life and death for awhile, which is why Doumeki could see her? I don't know.
