You know something I hate?  When you're sitting down and perfectly fine, then you stand up for whatever reason and  you mustmustmust get to the bathroom now do not pass go do not collect $200.

But more to the point, do any Buffy fen know of any good icons with Buffy, Kendra and Faith?  It's something I've been craving for a while.

ETA:  After a week and a half of blessed silence, Starts Playing Music Loudly In The Middle Of The Night is up to it again.

I have some pretty Faith ones uploaded, mango_icons and foxglove_icons in particular. Or did you want all the slayers together?

All three together. Difficult, given that Kendra had to die for there to be Faith. (Though how that works is a bit headache inducing.)

Really? The slayer linage seemed really logical to me. What part confused you?

"One dies and another awakens" seems perfectly simple at first, but as the series progressed and Buffy died TWICE and then got better and we saw all the beings and rituals that exist in that world, it got harder and harder to believe that no other slayer had ever cheated death and there had never been two (or even more) at a time before, especially once we got to the last season.

That's true. It's been a while since I watched it - did Giles say that there was no record of it happening before?

I don't remember if it was stated, but they acted like it was unique. Which, in s2-s5, was ok, because it was CPR and that wasn't incredibly effective (in terms of reliable methods) until recent years, but then we get to s6 where they raise her from the dead and there's no apparent consequence* save to her mental health (which we know the Watcher's Council wouldn't care much about as long as the resurrected slayers were killing the right people) and you wonder why the council hasn't kept a few on hand.

*The First was supposed to be a consequence, but after introducing the idea, they seemed to forget about it.

IIRC, they said in interviews that the lineage 'passed' from Buffy to Faith, so there'd only be another Slayer if Faith died. (Which always made me figure the Watcher's Council would have killed Faith if they could have, almost-start to finish.)
