manga: Fullmetal Alchemist ch 96

Oh Hohenheim, I love you with so many hearts and sparkles that i can't compare it to my initial thoughts of you.  (Then again, he hadn't shown up yet where I was in the manga when I watched the anime, and they're vastly different characters.)  Ed would so hate to see how he was so future!Ed in this chapter.

Most of this chapter, though, was about Curtises and Armstrongs bonding.  With sparkles and flexing muscles no less.  I love how Armstrong and Sig are BFF for eternity because they both understand the importance of sparkles  and the beauty of giant bulging muscles.  And Olivia and Izumi!  I love how...flippant Izumi is about it all.  But then, I suspect she's storing it all up for when she yells at Ed.  I wonder if the older Briggs soldiers had horrible flashbacks when she showed up, though.

However!  Izumi should not be talking about being a sacrifice!  Doesn't she know this isn't a Clamp manga?

Strangely, I felt nothing when Envy died last month, save that it was a fitting end.  Sloth, though, I find I pity quite a bit.
