I finally got around to watching Selma, which should have been given all the awards, and that it's still depressingly pertinent.
I don't have anything to say that many people farm ore qualified than me haven't already said, so here's the trailer:
Ok, I have one thing, which is that they should have given Tessa Thompson more to do. She was in so many scenes, but seemed to get to do so little in them!
ETA: Ok, 2 things. The second is that, in some ways, Selma can be used as an example of why I think TV is a superior format to movies, especially for historical dramas based on real people and events. As much as they got into the movie, they also left so much of what was going on and who was involved out. Imagine what they could've done with 5-8 or so hours, instead of 2.
