So, episode 12 deals with comic/gaming nuts.
In the room of a comic book fan, Seeley Booth, who claims to be at least something of a fan of comics, picks up an old issue of Batman, waves it around, and says (roughly) "Hey, this one is worth $130"
Yes, bagged and boarded or not, a supposed comicbook fan was waving around a rare comic, only holding onto a corner.

Also? All the comics we can actually see are of the "this box for $5" variety.
That said, the shop itself appears to be like what I remember, though they probably just rented a shop for a day.
