Haven 4.9: Wow, most of that was...dull.
Though I am very amused at how the writers clearly think that Nathan's behavior was supposed to be shocking and out of character. He's always like that, he's just usually better at controlling it, save for sometimes with Duke. Whereas Dwight and Jennifer actually were completely out of character, if acting on things they probably (well, probably for Jennifer, definitely for Dwight) suspect deep down, but wouldn't normally act on.
I feel we only needed about the last 6-7 minutes of the episode though, really.
Ravenswood 1.4:
-I think I'm going to have nightmares about Remy and that refrigerator.
-Really enjoyed the scenes with Olivia and Miranda, but am disappointed that Remy isn't spending more time with them.
-I was going to be relieved about Luke confessing to Remy up front that he kissed Tess, but that headed south fast. (Luke, i'm trying to remain sympathetic towards you, but you aren't making it easy...)
-Very curious now about Miranda's uncle and Luke and Olivia's mom.
-Fond as I am of Caleb, he's starting to feel shoehorned in to me.
-No, Miranda, don't go into that light! I don't think it is what you think it is! (And if it is, that might mean you're gone?)
Sleepy Hollow 1.7:
-Oh, Ichabod. Never stop being affronted by modern economics and prices. Or losing your battles against the modern world.
-Not to mention the modern world's ideas about his time period. And learning about things like Sally Hemmings. (And I'm very glad the show went there, and that it was two black people relating the black woman's story, and telling the white dude to stop clutching his pearls already.)
-Let us pause for a moment to appreciate the fact that a canon actually exists where men of multiple ethnicities are canonically interested in a woman of color. (Because for most TV, if you're POC, you can only notice white people and people of your own ethnicity.)
-Oh, zombie!Andy, that's quite the torch you're carrying there.
-But really, all the boys want to give Abbie the best seat in their clubhouse. Except the masons. And look what happened to them.
-The possible need for modern witches makes me very very hopeful that Abbie and Jenny will be revealed to be descended from witches. (I'm really hoping for a reveal that their parents were demon hunters or whatever and will reappear.)
-Poor headless horseman just wants his head back! (So he can get the whole apocalypse thing really going.)
-Very interested in seeing how things go now that Irving is a believer.
Witches of East End 1.6:
-Wow, Killian, could you be any more passive aggressive about trying to get into your future sisiter-in-law's pants? If it weren't for the fact that I actually forget half the scenes with Dash and/or Killian by the time i finish an episode, i think I could say with decent certainly that he's actually trying to guilt trip her for not cheating on his brother.
-During the backstory, I was thinking that Penelope was going to be revealed to be Athena's daughter or granddaughter (aside from the various hints that Penelope knew something about the Beauchamps, the fact that both names are from Greek mythology would be hard to buy as a coincidence) but apparently she is Athena? Probably using the spell on herself that Indrid and Archibald used on Elizabeth.
-And given the hints that both Dash and Killian (or at least Killian) have a previous life connection to Freya, I wonder if Penelope somehow managed to make sure Freya's previous lovers were reborn as her sons, knowing how things would go.
-I liked seeing Ingrid's darkside, but want to see Joanna's more. (Until told otherwise, I'm assuming that Joanna and Wendy both were dark witches but eventually changed, and that Ingrid and Freya fell somewhere close to where they were raised on the scale, more often than not. Or rather, that Joanna changed and Wendy went along with her, as I don't think Wendy cares much about the idea of good and evil witches, but does care about what Joanna thinks of her.)
-I like that the library used to be an apothecary shop owned by the Beauchamps.
-Ingrid can never have magic brownies again.
The latest episode of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries was delightful as always (though a bit darker than usual) but I don't have much to say about it. I've also watched all the episodes of Poirot's final season, and it's excellent as always, but I have yet to come to terms with the fact that there's only one more episode of David Suchet as Poirot EVER.
