Hmm...I think all I can really say is "awwwww."  Not in the "that was cute" way, but the "awwww...true love conquers all by kicking evil's butt by making it realize it isn't really evil and sending it off to get loved."

Also I really want to know exactly how Mikage got pregnant before her battle with kagara.  *stares at those two very, very pointedly*

And now Aria and Sakura will go and have justice seeking butt-kicking babies.  With maybe a demon companion or two.  I have to say, though, that I wish there had been a chance for Aria and her brother to hash things out between them.  Preferably a little less violently than last time.

(Also, this is two of my favorite shoujos in a row that logic dictates should have ended in a great big pile of dead bodies, not both halves of the OTP living.  Not, mind you, that I'm complaining in either case.)

We also have a  backup story this time around of Sakura soon after shortly after Kagara woke up inside of him.  He meets a blood relative who was struck blind by The Dream and she tells him someone stronger than her will save him, but mostly it's Sakura telling Kagara that he won't let him win.

There's also a short story about a family that moves into a house with an earth god trapped inside.  It was cute, but not a lot else.

Somebody license more Chika Shiomi manga.  Yurara's ok, but fairly normal shoujo, and the last volume of Canon is also already out and waiting to be read.  I need more like it a Night of the Beasts.

I understand sad endings when the fit, but sometimes anime tends to go for them "rocks fall, everyone dies" approach, which is stupid. That's why I'm irritated with the actual ending of Houshin Engi. Killing everyone seems a little uncalled for, which is why I like the anime better.

To be fair to Houshin Engi, it ends that way because it's based on a chinese classic that I think kills everyone off in the end. (All the chinese classics do, I think...it's the new stuff that lets them live.)

I understand that, but it felt very depressing and not with the spirit of the rest of the manga. If you're going to go with a legend like that, don't make it a shounen comedy style thing.

Deaths that I prefered in the manga. Wolfwood's. Sure, the anime was all symbolic and stuff, but the manga did it so much better.

Death in anime that INFURIATES ME. Chrono Crusade. WHY?! The manga did not DO that!
