Snagged from various places:

a) I want to talk about how my ships and concept of shipping varies with fandom, so name a fandom and I'll discuss what I ship and what shipping means to me in that fandom.

b) I have a lot of fandoms. Have you ever wondered about one of the fandom I sometimes mention on my journal which you don't know of? Ask me any question you want about them!

ETA: Spoilers in comments for Bleach(non-explicit), FMA anime (one plotline explicit) and Twelve Kingdoms anime(non-explicit).
(Or if you see something in my tags or interets and I never talk about it, so you have no idea what I think about it, or whatever. Uhm...depending one what (a) is, you may or may not get a slightly wordier "bzuh?")

Just in general, do you ever ship a pairing that isn't canon?

Someone else will probably ask you about Claymore (which I really need to reread and finish soon), so: talk to me about the Codex Alera, what/if you ship (I rarely ship in books the way I do in visual media, but every so often I wonder if TCA might be an exception), what you like about the books, what (if anything) you find problematic.

Or, you know. Whichever of that you want to talk about.

Actually, here's another general thing that interests me: pairings with a lot of subtextual evidence, but not enough that you can outright call them "canon." Yoruichi/Soi Fong is a good example. Where do you stand on those? For me, it's pairings like those that make me wonder how people can be fans of canon pairings alone...because sometimes the line just isn't that clear.

12 Kingdoms! To be honest, if you don't have a ship for it it's fine, since I don't exactly have a serious ship for it myself (although I do ship *coughs*). It's just nice to hear someone talk about it once in a while since I love the series so much I went ahead and bought the original novels for my favourite arcs.

I just want to say something on a bit in your profile first:

"I like female characters. I don't love every one I ever come across, but it's rare that I understand the dislike directed at so many. Very often, when a female character I'm familiar with is called TSTL or a doormat, my reaction is "she's trying her hardest in a situation where she's way out of her league in a society that expects her to be a doormouse...give her a break."

I used to be an avid female character hater. And yet in the recent years, a few females have stepped forward and shown me the beauty in some characters that people hate. Like Colette from Tales of Symphonia. I still can't fathom how anyone would hate that girl but apparently people do! How could someone trying their hardest to protect those they love and trying to care for everyone they come across inspire so much hate?

And to the meme, Otogi Zoshi - another fantastic series I need to finish.

a) Samurai Champloo. I watched two eps of this last night with a friend after two other friends had recced it to me. Then I got home and wasn't feeling like watching anime anymore.. But I got to thinking "What does Megan think about this?" & also wondered if it would have any ships (canonwise).

b) God, so many. Some days I read the posts where you intro something you're watching very carefully, other days I just skim them. Let's say Basara, as I seem to recall that's a favourite of yours.

a. Gintama. GO FOR IT.

b. What is Damo, exactly? I've seen the icon and think it's funny, but I'm so terribly confused....

Talk about Tokyo Babylon more, since you just finished it. (Unless you feel like you've talked it to death.)
