Yes, I was too lazy to make a new Bourne-angst pic, so I'm recycling another. Maybe I shall do so later.

Julia Stiles is finally more than a glorified extra )
Incidentally, to explain the song in the Wuxia Bourne vid(beyond it being a good epic wuxia song)spoilery for Handsom Siblings )
Also, for an explanation of Wuxia Bourne, here is the Wuxia Bourne post. Cheers for anyone(who doesn't already know, and without looking at comments) if you can pick out the Handsome Siblings couple. Wuxia Bourne was actualy born in another post. I'd link to it, but it involves 50 or so comments between myself, [livejournal.com profile] calixa and [livejournal.com profile] lesbiassparrow. As is usual for us, we got rather carried away. It can be found under [livejournal.com profile] lesbiassparrow's "bourne" tag, though.

And finally, I bring evidence of Bourne's deepseated grudge against cars:

Uhm...I have no idea what I could possibly watch next to live up to this.

Aaah...this movie was so much easier to see on my TV than it was on my parent's the first time I saw it. They have the color settings darker.

Anyway, spoilery.

let the epic angst begin )

Also, what is quite possibly the best Bourne video known to man, WUXIA BOURNE:

Now to fix dinner and then finish the marathon.

I am spending the day watching the Bourne Trilogy.  Why?  Because ever since Christmas, the family has been playing the "hey, between us, we have all three movies, so lets trade them back and forth"  game, and today they are finally all here, I'm free al day, and I'm not caught up in something else.

Anyway:  Amnesiac assassin found in ocean by fishermen, sets off to find himself, meets cute girl(don't they always?) has adventures, finds out who he is(kinda), blah blah blah.

Uhm, guys, aside from the "good thriller movie" part, everyone, male or female, watches these movies for the same reasons:

1.  Matt Damon angsts very, very well in these movies.

2.  Matt Damon beats people up very, very well in these movies.

3.  Matt Damon kills people very, very well in these movies.

4.  Matt Damon blows things up very, very well in these movies.

5.  Matt Damon destroys cars very, very well in these movies.

6.  Matt Damon does all these things very, very convincingly in these movies.

7.  Did I mention that Matt Damon angsts very, very well in these movies?

Reasons for watching for these reasons will very based on gender and sexual preference, but...

I shall now go do dishes and ponder why Amazon apparently doesn't like my debit card, and then watch Bourne Supremacy.

...that Jason Bourne needs to go to Korea for driving lessons.  According to kdramas, men there know how to drive while angsting without creating 20 car pileups, driving over cars, driving cars off bridges, off buildings, up stairs, etc.

Really, I'd feel safe being on the streets with a kdrama man at his angstiest.  I wouldn't want to be on the same planet Jason Bourbe was driving a car on at his mellowest.

(Meanwhile, the heroine of Lovers seems to think almost getting kissed by the hottest man in Korea is cause to break down and sob in sorrow in front of a building...either it's the "Almost" part, or she needs to work on her priorities.)

This has been going around the f-list a bit in various forms.  My fictional likes/crushes tend to remain relatively constant, as I'm really stubborn and generally end up comparing other characters to these, all of whom have been here for a year or longer(ok, technically, Bourne came back when the new movie came out...but he was there earlier)

In no order whatsoever.

But they did get me thin crust pizza and chocolate chip cookie pizza(which is really thing pizza crust with cookie dough and chocolate chips cooked on top and then drizzle frosting over it after it's cooked.)  As there are NO WORDS for my love of both(the only pizza I love morethan thin crust chicken is thin crust chicken and bacon) I suppose they do love me.  But still, as they saved about $60-$75 on lunch on Sunday due to my intense and searing pain, you'd think they could spring for POTC3(if I hadn't, you know, asked for it for Christmas already...)

I did stop and use up my Borders giftcard, though.  Got vol 1 of the Pumpkin Scissors manga and 4 and 6 of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.  They didn't have vol 5 but I plan to order from Amazon soon anyway.

I also learned that there's already a Bourne Trilogy set out.  Seriously?  I figured there wouldn't be one for a few months yet.  If I'd known, I would have asked for it to Christmas.  Instead I shall buy it from Amazon.

Also, I have determined that if Jason Bourne ever met Kambei from Samurai Seven, he'd come out of it sounding like this:

(ETA:  When the girl in Samurai Seven tries to confess her love to Kambei, he cuts her off and tells her that his heart is dead and withered, and she should save her water/love for someone else.)

I will now either start watching Stargate SG-1 S6, or post Bride of the Water God scans so I can mock the extreme fanservice.  Reboot shall decide.

Just watched the parents' copy of Bourne Supremacy.  Good movie, though easily the weakest of the trilogy.  There was a lot of cinematography that didn't qite work(especially the dark dark colors...there's a pivotal scene near the end where it would have been REALLY nice to have been able to see Bourne's face.  It was interesting seeing Ultimatum scenes here...or rather, the first scene of Ultimatum takes place(offscreen) near the end of Supremacy, while the last scene of Supremacy takes place in an extended form midway through Ultimatum.

Also, the last 20 minutes made me think of Val Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue's The Saint, and has me pondering whether or not I have a copy...

1.  Apparently I have not been posting as much this week.  I hadn't realized that, but as I've been asked (jokingly) by 2 people if I'm feeling well because  of posting.  Just haven't had a ton to say about any one thing the last few days and have been cramming most of it into one post.

2.  For an amazing piece of wuxia, I give you The Little Fairy's death by flying carpet.  Courtesy of [profile] calixa.

3.  You may recall by mentioning Wuxia Bourne before.  Wuxia Bourne began in IMs between myself and [profile] calixaabout how much of Bourne's angst is rather wuxia hero-ish.  It spilled into [personal profile] lesbiassparrow's lj here, spawning what may be the funniest thing I've ever read here(or at least, the funniest thing in a while.)

4.  If you are looking at 2 and 3 in horror, it's your own fault for letting me make my own friends.

5.  Second funniest thing in a good long while?  Reading the 4th of Mickey Zucker Reichert's Bifrost Guardians books whre the thief is doing everything in his power to get arrested so he can break his friends out of prison, and NO ONE will arrest him because the bad guy has spread the word that Taz(thief) is working for him (he isn't.)  Taz is very, very determined...

6.  People have started dying in Yoshitsune.  Naturally, it's the ones I like, as opposed to the ones I don't care about or expect to die.

7.  somebody get me back in the binge reading mood, I beg you.  I haven't been since last week, and it feels very, very weird to take most of the week to read a 300 page book...
